]]>These are recent images that are being offered first as Artist's proofs.

I now have too many new images to make a print of each one and offer them through art shows.

A custom lab will be printing these and you have the option of finishing and mounting.

They will not be signed or numbered and I will sell less than ten as artist's proofs.

If you want any image as a signed, numbered print then I can start a numbered series. I will then set the series size when I have sold 25. All series will be limited to 300 or less.

Beginning price is 29.00 for an ~8 X 10 print dry-mounted on an archival 11 X 14 mat board.

Please contact my gallery at home if you want one of the artist's proofs images to be printed, signed, numbered, and dry mounted by me.

Amish/limited edition only

]]>This is my limited edition series of the Amish I started in 1989. Most are of an Old Order Swartzentruber Amish community near Ethridge Tennessee. All pictures were done before 1997.

I was told by several of the Amish that it is okay to photograph if I do it from a distance or not ask them to pose. All these were taken from a public road.

All images are done with dignity and respect for the Amish.

Prints range in price from $29.00 to 900.00 depending on size and how many are left in the series.

For example, an 8 X 10 image dry-mounted on an 11 X 14 inch mat is 29.00 for the first 24 in a series.

By number 199 that price has climbed to 92.00. At number 200 I only make the next two larger sizes. The only image in this series that has sold over 200 is Racing the Storm. Several others are getting close.

All prints are done by me and signed.

HDR Prints by the Artist

]]>These are "high dynamic range" images.

They are made by combining several different exposures into one by using Photomatix Pro software.

I love the strong effect of hdr. It is purely photographic and not an imitation of other media such as watercolor.

These are images that are part of a limited edition series.

Artist's proofs are not available for these images.

All prints are dry mounted, signed, and numbered by me.

All images are in the early part of the series and will be numbered with edition #/------. I started this method several years ago. At number twenty five I will decide what size the series will be. Most will stay below twenty five total.

]]>I have always liked the way the lights at night bathe the city in colors.

Techniques used in creating the various images included time exposure, hdr, painting with light, and photo editing.

These are available as artist's proofs. Please contact me if you want a signed print made by me.

Many of these were taken during a field trip for one of my recent intermediate photo classes.

]]>Helen Keller Festival Sunday June 27, 2010.
Niamh Clarke, violin is the daughter of a friend of mine.
She has played with the Huntsville, Tupelo, Meridian, Tuscaloosa, Asheville, and Montgomery symphonies.
Clarke has also appeared in concert with Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, and The Moody Blues.
This is the first musical act I have photographed with my D90.
